E04 / E05 – The printer cartridge cannot be recognized
These error codes happen because the printer cannot recognize the ink cartridge. It could be the current ink cartridge is incompatible with the printer. Open the printer cover and reinstall the ink cartridges. If these error codes still appear, please contact the canon service center.

E08 – Ink absorber is almost full
The ink absorber is about to full, it’s time for you to replace the ink absorber. Bring your printer to service center. You still able to use this printer even the printer warned you the ink absorber is full. Press start button (black or green button) to continue using the printer.

E13 – The printer ink level cannot be detected
This error code appear when the printer detected a low ink, sometime the printer cannot display the correct ink level. The reason is you use non-original cartridge or modified into CISS (continuous ink supply system). You can still use the printer, press start button (black or green button) to continue using the printer.

It could be the ink cartridge is not installed properly or not compatible, open the printer cover and check the cartridges. Replace the new cartridge is necessary. If you are using the CISS printer, press and hold the stop (reset) button for 5 second and make sure to close the printer cover first.
